12 days of artistic effort aiming to create a collection of individual or group works in free visual or acoustic expression
The theme of the Odyssey has often occupied art along its path.
It is a story of a search, in space and time but also in consciousness. It raises questions of values and invites endless philosophical inquiry.
Each artist is free to express himself on this subject with individual and collective work. Guided but also free-flowing discussions can enrich inspiration.
The purpose is for the artists to feel as deeply as they can the reflection of the Odyssey in its course throughout the centuries, but mainly in relation to today. Their works will be exhibited in order to offer the public their perspective, but also to raise new questions about the modern era.
The collection will be exhibited in an art space in Athens
artists who wish to participate in the curation of the exhibition are welcome.
Dates are subject to change based on demand.
A total of 10 artists can be accommodated. From the fields of visual arts, audiovisual and media.
The event will take place with a minimum of 5 people.
There is no restriction on the experience of the artist.
Artistic hospitality includes accommodation and basic services as stated in the facility's informational text. It can also host the works until they are exhibited so that the artist is not burdened with storage space. It does not include travel costs, materials and costs of transporting the works to the exhibition area.
The total cost per person amounts to 780 Euro plus VAT. It is paid in three installments, 180 Euros upon booking the position, 400 Euros after the 2nd day of stay and 200 Euros at the end of the stay.
Participation can be canceled up to 15 days before the start, otherwise the deposit will not be refunded.
