Painting

Painting requires great dedication and calmness.
It takes a lot of courage.
As Aristotle said, you will never do anything in this world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind after honor.

Many of my works are studies on simple subjects. Others that develop more maturely, are usually inspired by an event, something I observed in nature, saw happening around me or read about. I often start with a series of questions that could only be answered as I experiment and work.
Beyond that, however, the inner impulse and personal need are catalytic for the creation of a painting.
Very often, my paintings are groups of works that share a common theme, a common concern, a similar approach and a common visual language.
I really enjoy working with mixed media next to oil, watercolours, ink, pastel and pencil.
